That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
How often do you put the word “love” into a conceptualized box of your own choosing?
We live in a society that tells us love is simply a romantic feeling. Our society tells us love is the allowance of a person to do whatever they think is right. True love is indeed free-will, but, true love is not allowing someone to do whatever they want; how? Let me explain it to you.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)
The greatest display of pure, unadulterated love is in the Cross. God, whom certainly could have imposed judgement onto mankind, allowed us to live how we chose. Although God could have smote the earth from the Cross, He chose to pay the price for sin so that if ANY man chose to live freely in God he had the choice to do so. However, it is crucial to understand that there is a consequence for living outside of God and living IN sin. Just as if a mother were to tell her son, “do not do that or you will get in trouble” so is the justice of God. You can choose to live apart from God, but without God you will live miserably compared to the glory of His life.
So, love is not JUST a feeling. Love DOES judge, and does so righteously. Without judgement, love would not be complete.
Lay down your self-will and reach for the Glory of God. Do not abuse his free gift of eternal life, and do not take his love for granted by DENYING THE EXISTENCE OF HIS PERFECT LOVE.
And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
